22nd Sports Festival with International Participation was held from June 17 to June 21, 2026, in Albena Resort, Bulgaria. The festival was organized by Bulgarian Federation “Sport and Health” in collaboration with the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB), and with support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Bulgaria.
900 persons from 55 organizations participated in the festival, representing 7 countries: Bulgaria, Mexico, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro.
The festival program included competitions in 17 kinds of sports: mini football, volleyball, SoftPlay volley, beach volleyball, basketball (streetball), swimming, tennis, padel, beach tennis, table tennis, athletics (cross), chess, darts, petanque, sports backgammon, tug of war and relay “Fast together”.
The complex ranking by nations was won by the representatives of NPP Kozloduy, who gathered a total of 171 points. The second place was taken by INDET (Mexico) with 11 points, and the third by Association Sport for All Serbia (Serbia) with 10 points. The Fairplay Cup of Nations was won by Sindicatul Energia Moldova (Romania) for men and INDET (Mexico) for women.
The complex ranking for the “Prof. Dr. Zhelyazko Hristov” Cup was won by the players of Workers’ Club “Sport and Health – Kardjali” with 126 points, followed by TPP Maritsa Iztok 2 with 100 points and WSDS Ruse with 29 points. The “Prof. Dr. Zhelyazko Hristov” Fairplay Cup was won by Novi Pazar Municipality for men and Workers’ Club “Sport and Health – Ruse” for women.
The winners in the complex rankings received their awards from Mrs. Daniela Alexieva – Vice-President of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB), Mr. Branko Vujović – President of Association Sport for All Serbia (Serbia) and President of the Balkan Association for Workers’ Sport (BAWS), Prof. Pablo Reyes Osorio – Executive Secretary of INDET (Mexico), Prof. Hristo Hrisov – Mayor of Shumen Municipality, Mrs. Desislava Yagodin – President of Bulgarian Federation “Sport and Health”, Mrs. Anastasia Taskova – member of the Board of Directors of Bulgarian Federation “Sport and Health” and Mr. Vasil Pavlov – President of Workers’ Club “Sport and Health – Marek” (Dupnitsa).
