Within the framework of the 22nd International Sports Festival in Albena, Bulgaria, organized by the Bulgarian Workers’ Federation “Sport and Health”, the Regular Electoral Session of the General Assembly of the Balkan Association for Workers’ Sport (BAWS) was held on June 19, 2026, at 14:00, in the “Corella” conference hall of the “Flamingo Grand” Hotel.

The Working Presidency consisted of President Branko Vujović (Serbia), Vice President Desislava Yagodin (Bulgaria), and Dario Jagić (Croatia). In a constructive and positive working atmosphere, and in the presence of delegates from Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, and Slovenia, the scheduled Agenda was successfully completed.
During the session, the Extracts from the Minutes of the previous BAWS General Assembly, the Report on Activities for the 2022–2026 period, as well as the proposed amendments and supplements to the Statute were adopted.

In the election process, President Branko Vujović, Vice President Desislava Yagodin, and Secretary Dejan Marsenić, MSc, were unanimously re-elected. In addition to the President and Vice President, the new BAWS Board for the 2026–2030 mandate period will consist of representatives from other member countries: Vlascu Constantin (Romania), Gligorije Vojinović (Montenegro), Dragan Ćurlinov (North Macedonia), Milan Čupić (Croatia), Suad Murselović (Bosna and Herzegovina), and a representative from Slovenia.
President Vujović thanked those present for his re-election and presented the work plan for the upcoming period under the slogan: “Sport and recreation as a bridge toward better cooperation in the region and further integration within the EU and the world.”
