This year’s festival, held from September 24 to 28, 2025, brought together more than 750 participants from Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Serbia at the “Slovenska plaža” Tourist Resort in Budva.

Divided into 35 teams, participants competed in 17 sports disciplines: five-a-side football, basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, table tennis, tennis, padel, foot tennis, shooting, archery, darts, badminton, chess, tug of war, swimming, pétanque, and folk all-around. They also had the opportunity to take part in organized fitness programs.
The festival’s opening ceremony was held at the “Rondo” swimming pool within the “Slovenska plaža” complex. The attendees were welcomed by Branko Vujović, President of the Festival Organizing Committee, the Association Sport for All Serbia, and the Balkan Association of Workers’ Sports (BAWS); Predrag Marsenić, Executive Director of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee; and Dragoslav Šćekić, Minister of Sports and Youth of the Government of Montenegro, who officially declared the festival open.
On behalf of the Budvanska Riviera Hotel Group, participants were also greeted by Vesna Vujović, Hotel Manager and Director of the “Slovenska plaža” Tourist Resort.
During the live broadcast of the RTV Montenegro Morning Program, President Vujović and Sports Director Bijelić shared their impressions of the festival and highlighted the importance of this prestigious sports and recreational event.
As part of the festival program, a regular session of the Board of Directors of the Balkan Association of Workers’ Sports (BAWS) was also held. On this occasion, reports on activities and finances were adopted, and plans for international cooperation were presented. Serbia was awarded the candidacy to host the CSIT qualifying tournament in 3×3 basketball and pétanque, as part of the 35th International Festival of Sport for All to be held in Budva in 2026, as well as to serve as the central BAWS event for 2026.
The ceremonial closing of the festival, held again at the “Rondo” swimming pool, was an opportunity to present trophies and medals to the most successful teams and individuals.
Gligorija Vojinović, President of the Montenegrin Sports and Recreational Society “Sport for All,” and Branko Vujović, President of the Association Sport for All Serbia, presented letters of appreciation to sports organizations, companies, and partners who contributed to the success of the event.
As in previous years, the overall winner of the Festival was the team of the Bulgarian Workers’ Federation “Sport and Health.”
Once again, the Festival carried the message #BeActive, in line with the mission of the European Week of Sport (EWOS), promoting the importance of physical activity and recreation for a healthy and quality life.
