As part of the Balkan Association for Workers’ Sports (BAWS) program, the Association Sport for All Serbia and the Montenegrin Sports Recreation Association “Sport for All” organized the 33rd International Festival of sport for all from September 25 to 29, 2024, along the Montenegrin coast in Budva.

This year’s festival attracted over 750 participants, including sports recreationists, summer activity enthusiasts, sports organizations, experts, branch trade union members, and employees from local governments and companies across BAWS member countries: North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, and Serbia. Divided into 40 teams, participants competed in 17 disciplines, including football, basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, table tennis, tennis, foot tennis, padel, shooting, archery, darts, badminton, chess, tug-of-war, folk all-around, swimming, and bocce. Additionally, daily recreational activities, fitness sessions, and a social entertainment program were featured.

The open and closed facilities of the “Slovenska plaža” tourist resort, the pool at the Budva Sports and Recreation Center, the Ballroom “Central,” and the authentic Mediterranean environment provided excellent conditions for both the competitive and recreational aspects of the program.

During the closing ceremony, awards and recognitions—including cups and medals—were presented to the top performers in various sports disciplines. Gligorije Vojinović and Branko Vujović awarded certificates of appreciation for significant contributions to the festival’s program and presented the overall winner’s cup to the team from the Bulgarian Workers’ Federation “Sports and Health.”

This year’s festival embraced the #beactive message, the motto of the European Week of Sports, aimed at promoting physical activity and encouraging citizens to engage regularly in sports.
