The first event of the 2024 calendar year within the Balkan Association of Workers’ Sport (BAWS) took place in Žabljak, organized by the Montenegrin Association of Sports Recreation “Sport for All.” The winter festival, Durmitor 2024, was held from February 29 to March 3, 2024.

The event was attended by BAWS President Branko Vujović and Secretary Dejan Marsenić. Despite unseasonably low snowfall, the organizers adeptly adapted the festival’s program to suit the conditions.
The festival was opened by Zoran Jojić, Director of the Sports Directorate of the Ministry of Sports and Youth of Montenegro.

Held at the Žabljak Sports Center and the Hotel “Gorske oči,” the festival featured 220 participants competing in a variety of sports, including mini-football, volleyball, table tennis, darts, and chess.
Additionally, new and engaging activities were introduced, such as target-hitting games, goal shooting, and Baggo, enhancing the festival experience.
Durmitor 2024 successfully brought together a vibrant community of sports enthusiasts, showcasing flexibility and enthusiasm despite the weather challenges.
